Description	This hands-on workshop focuses on putting accessibility into practice and building it directly into your daily workflow. This facilitated, two-part series totals 6 hours of professional development (each session includes a 1.5-hour live online workshop paired with 1.5 hours of applied homework). Day 1 centers on Canvas, where participants will audit and fix existing Rich Content Editor (RCE) course materials and use Canvas Studio to auto-generate, edit, and embed accessible captions and transcripts for media. Day 2 shifts to document remediation, guiding faculty step-by-step through setting up native Word styles, fixing layout issues, using automated checkers, and exporting clean, accessible PDFs. Instructors will submit one assignment per session for personalized feedback on their course materials, and participants who complete the series will receive an official OTAN Certificate of Completion. Learning Outcomes: By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: Audit and Remediate Canvas Pages: Fix structural layout issues in the Canvas RCE by setting proper heading hierarchies, formatted lists, descriptive links, and simple data tables. Caption and Enhance Course Media: Use Canvas Studio to generate, edit, and manage accurate captions and transcripts for hosted videos and embedded YouTube content. Format Accessible Word Documents: Apply native Word styles, document structures, alt text, and built-in accessibility checkers to resolve common compliance errors in instructional files. Export Tagged PDFs: Convert formatted Word documents into tagged, accessible Adobe PDFs while maintaining proper reading order and contrast standards. Apply Everyday Workflows: Implement proactive creation habits and efficiency tools to sustain accessible course design without adding significant prep time. ***** This session is a closed inservice for Pasadena City College Noncredit division.
