Description | Increasing reading, writing, and oral communication skills enough to succeed in job training, job promotions, and postsecondary education requires persistence. Research reveals numerous strategies that can make a difference. This training examines nine of these strategies and offers adult educators the opportunity to practice and internalize them. |
Goals | There is no registration fee to participate; CALPRO professional development opportunities are available to all California Adult Education Program (CAEP) agencies and employees. This training is hosted by Hemet Adult School. Each individual member of an agency team needs to register; group registrations are not permitted. Additional agency teams and individual participants from neighboring districts or regions may be admitted on a space-available basis. Should the training registration reach maximum capacity, agency teams will receive priority admittance. Attend both face-to-face (F2F) sessions. F2F Session Dates: Fridays, September 15, 1 pm - 4 pm, and October 6, 1 pm -4 pm. The registration deadline is September 1, 2023. Notification of acceptance will occur by September 5, 2023. Training begins in Moodle on Monday, September 4 and ends on Sunday, October 15, 2023. |
