Description This course takes place entirely online and runs for 4 consecutive weeks, from 2/20/2023 to 3/19/2023. Weekly participation is required, though participants may, during a given week, log in whenever they wish. The first Webinar will take place during week one. Become familiar with and practice strategies for helping adults with learning disabilities succeed in your classes! Learn to select appropriate accommodations to meet diverse learning needs. This course presents an overview of various instructional approaches and helps you design one instructional activity using an LD-appropriate approach. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate of participation (14 hours); they are also eligible to apply to CSUS for 1.4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) if they wish. It is recommended that participants take Designing Programs for Adults With Learning Disabilities I before taking this course; it may be completed via the self-directed course.
Goals There is no registration fee to participate; CALPRO professional development opportunities are available to all California Adult Education Program (CAEP) agencies and employees.

Facilitator The goal of this course is to provide participants with a general understanding of instructional techniques and strategies that are appropriate for adults with learning disabilities.
